Headshot of Sydney based actress Pamela Pilawa

Hoi! Hi! Salut! Warami! Hola! Oi! I'm Pamela

Transforming cultural storytelling, interactive children's theatre, and corporate connection in Sydney.

I am a Sydney-based actress, physical theatre artist, and international clown with a passion for storytelling that transcends language. Whether I’m on a film set, a theatre stage, or performing for a local community festival, my goal is always the same: to create a genuine moment of connection. I believe that play is the most powerful tool we have for communication, and I bring that energy to every project I touch.

I create work that invites the audience to stop being spectators and start being participants in a shared moment of joy, curiosity, and human connection.

Pamela Pilawa is an internationally touring clown and theatre artist currently developing her work across Australia and abroad. Her journey began at the age of 12 on the stage of the Kantonsschule Zug in Switzerland. Performing in Romeo and Juliet, she discovered a passion for the stage that continues to drive her professional career today.

International Expertise:

Before settling in Sydney, Pamela spent eight years in Madrid, where she graduated in Performing Arts from the TAI University Arts Center (2019). Her international career has seen her perform in 15 professional plays across Spain, Brazil, and Canada. A specialist in physical comedy, her original productions—including Tchocolatl, A Cheesy Journey, and her acclaimed work Restricted Access—have toured festivals worldwide. Her expertise in non-formal education has also led her to facilitate workshops in collaboration with Youth for Understanding (YFU) across Argentina and Spain.

Screen & Stage in Australia:

In the audiovisual field, Pamela is a versatile talent for film and TV commercials, having worked with renowned directors such as Nick Ball, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, and Gabriel Olivares. Audiences may recognize her as Frau Brubacher in the BBC/Amazon series The English (2022), directed by Hugo Blick.

Now established in Sydney, Pamela continues to create and perform, with recent appearances at the Sydney Fringe Festival and Adelaide Fringe (2026). From facilitating corporate improv workshops to performing for major council events and libraries, Pamela remains dedicated to the art of the “multilingual clown”—using mime and physical comedy to bridge cultures and bring high-value entertainment to diverse audiences.
