Interactive Storytelling and Physical Comedy for Schools & Festivals

Welcome to my world of movement, laughter, and discovery! I’m Pamela, and I create multilingual physical theatre designed to spark curiosity in audiences of all ages. Whether I’m uncovering the ancient secrets of chocolate, embarking on a ‘cheesy’ global mystery, or exploring the ethics of money through slapstick, my shows are built on a foundation of interactive play and cultural immersion.

Based in Sydney and touring across Europe and Australia, I specialise in high-energy school incursions and festival performances that transcend language barriers. From Financial Literacy to LOTE (Languages Other Than English), my work aligns with the Australian Curriculum to ensure that while students are laughing, they are also learning, empathising, and seeing the world through a brand-new lens.

Slapstick, Security, and Financial Literacy

Meet “Forbidden”: The world’s most charismatic (and clumsy) German security guard!

In a world of rules and “Keep Out” signs, Forbidden discovers that the most monotonous moments can be transformed into extraordinary instants of fantasy. Inspired by the timeless charm of Charlie Chaplin, Restricted Access is a masterful blend of physical comedy, acrobatics, and magic.

But there is a twist—behind the laughter lies a clever exploration of one of today’s biggest taboos: Money.

Restricted Access is an immersive adventure that awakens the heart and mind. While Forbidden navigates the “restricted” areas of life, the audience joins him in learning the value of empathy, self-respect, and financial awareness. It’s a unique experience that proves happiness isn’t found in a vault, but in how we value ourselves and others.

Pamela Pilawa Custom Shape

Why "Restricted Access" is a Hit for...

  • Busting Money Taboos: A rare, high-energy resource for teaching Financial Literacy and the ethics of money to senior students (Years 5 & 6) through sophisticated slapstick.

  • Social-Emotional Growth: Focuses deeply on Empathy and Self-Respect, encouraging older primary students to look past the “uniform” or social status to find the human inside.

  • High-Level Physical Theatre: Inspired by Charlie Chaplin, this show provides an artistic depth that resonates with older children, proving that “clowning” can be both thought-provoking and hilarious.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do your shows support the Australian Curriculum?

Every performance I create is designed with educational outcomes in mind. Whether it’s LOTE (Languages Other Than English) through my multilingual storytelling, Financial Literacy in Restricted Access, or Intercultural Understanding in Tchocolatl, my work aligns with the curriculum to ensure a high-value learning experience. I also provide a comprehensive Teacher Resource Pack with every booking to help you extend the learning in the classroom.

I pride myself on being ‘flexible and fuss-free.’ Generally, I just need a clear performance space (like a school hall, library, or a large undercover area), access to a speaker and about 45–60 minutes for set-up. Because my shows are ‘unplugged’ and focused on physical theatre, I don’t require complex lighting or staging, making it easy to perform in almost any school environment.

Yes! I offer my shows in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. You can choose a performance entirely in one language for deep immersion, or a ‘multilingual’ version where I blend languages to introduce students to new vocabulary through context, rhythm, and movement. It’s a fantastic way to build confidence in LOTE students without them feeling overwhelmed

I have shows tailored for different developmental stages—from Pre-School up to Year 6. While I can perform for large groups, I find that an audience of up to 150 students allows for the best level of interaction. My work is highly participatory, and I want to make sure every child feels like they are part of the ‘clue-solving’ or the magic on stage

While I am based in Sydney, I love to travel! I frequently tour to regional schools and participate in festivals across Australia and Europe. If you are located outside of the Sydney metro area, please get in touch—I often coordinate tours to specific regions, which can help share travel costs between local schools.
